The Swiss Systems Engineering Day 2016 (SWISSED 2016) will take place at Kongresshaus Zürich again on Monday, September 12th 2016.
This year, international guests can indulge in almost a whole week of interesting topics, since SWISSED 2016 will be held in conjunction with the 4th European STAMP Workshop (Tuesday, September 13th until Thursday, September 15th 2016). STAMP intruduces a systems approach to safety and security.
A tour of the Pilatus Aircraft works near Stans has been arranged for Friday 19th August from 14.00. We will have the opportunity to look around the facilities as well as get a close up look at some of their aircraft designs, hopefully including the new PC-24 aircraft, which had its maiden flight last May. The Weapon System Integrity Program provides a systematic method on how to ensure the continued airworthiness of the system of interest. The presentation will show how a mature fighter aircraft system can be managed through different processes such as a system safety program, an in-service monitoring program, reliability centered maintenance and modification process.
Following the popular tour of the Swiss Post letter centre in Zürich-Mülligen in January 2014, the IMechE have informed us that one of their Members, Angela Louie, has very kindly organised a return visit.
